MI Ecosystem is part of our commitment to digital transformation.
Supports every stage of the business.
Why do we do it?
We live in a world that is constantly evolving.
That is why, at Coca-Cola Andina, we are committed to fostering a digital culture that enables us to move forward together.
Through intuitive, automated tools that are accessible from anywhere, we seek to ensure that technology works for people.
Today, digitalization is not just an improvement; it is a new way of working, growing, and connecting.
Our Commitment to Responsible Artificial Intelligence
At Coca-Cola Andina, we believe in the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to transform our operations and create sustainable value. At the same time, we recognize that the adoption of these technologies entails risks that must be managed rigorously. For this reason, we have established a comprehensive governance framework to ensure the responsible, ethical and secure use of AI across all our operations.
Governance and accountability structure
Our Corporate Artificial Intelligence Policy establishes that an AI Committee is responsible for overseeing all artificial intelligence initiatives, with cross-functional participation from executive management, technology, legal, compliance and Human Resources.
Each AI agent operates under a dual oversight model: technical oversight, led by the Technology team, and functional oversight, led by the corresponding business process owner. This approach ensures that a human decision-maker with the authority to intervene, escalate or halt any automated process is always in place.
The same policy establishes that the IT area is responsible for the implementation, maintenance and updating of AI systems. It is also responsible for ensuring the security, efficiency and scalability of AI solutions, as well as for the design, development and maintenance of these systems, ensuring compliance with the Company’s corporate policies.
Privacy and personal data protection
Our Corporate Artificial Intelligence Policy prohibits the use of AI in ways that could compromise the privacy of clients or employees. We apply the principles of lawfulness, proportionality, quality, security, transparency and confidentiality to all personal data processing activities associated with AI.
Sensitive data must be masked or removed before being used to train models. We comply with applicable data protection regulations in each country where we operate and provide data subjects with accessible mechanisms to exercise their rights.
Cybersecurity in AI environments
Our Corporate Artificial Intelligence Policy establishes that all AI solutions must incorporate robust security measures to protect sensitive information, including periodic risk assessments and updates to security policies whenever necessary.
Our cybersecurity framework is based on internationally recognized standards, including CIS, COBIT, ISO 27001/27002, the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NIST CSF) and NIST SP 800-53.Bot and agent credentials are stored in encrypted form, the principle of least privilege is applied, and a multidisciplinary Cybersecurity Committee oversees the Company’s cybersecurity strategy. We maintain a cyber incident response and recovery plan that includes notification protocols for authorities and affected parties in the event of a cyberattack.
Ethics, fairness and bias prevention
Our Corporate Artificial Intelligence Policy establishes that our algorithms must be fair, transparent and non-discriminatory.
We prohibit the use of AI to discriminate, manipulate behavior through subliminal techniques, conduct social scoring or perform unauthorized biometric surveillance, including facial or emotional recognition without consent.
Transparency, explainability and human oversight
Our Intelligent Technologies Integration Standard establishes that all AI bots and agents deployed within the organization must operate under a dual oversight model, as AI does not replace human intervention at Coca-Cola Andina.
To identify AI-generated processes and content, we have implemented observability mechanisms that generate detailed records of each execution—including date, time, input and output data, and results—ensuring full traceability. Users are clearly informed when they are interacting with AI and have the ability to review, correct or escalate any outcome.
Clear boundaries and prohibited uses
Through our Corporate Artificial Intelligence Policy, we have established explicit prohibitions regarding the use of AI for illegal activities, data manipulation, misleading content, exploitation of vulnerabilities related to age, disability or socioeconomic conditions, and the use of unauthorized models.
All AI models—whether public or private—require formal approval from the Technology team.
Training and awareness
We promote ongoing training programs on the ethical use of AI, information security and personal data protection for all employees, with the objective of fostering a company where human talent is enhanced by technology.
Continuous monitoring
Each AI solution operates under continuous monitoring processes that include model drift detection, periodic performance and quality assessments, and audit logs for every automated process.
Environmental footprint and sustainability of our AI infrastructure
Coca-Cola Andina operates its technology and AI infrastructure through leading cloud providers—Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure—and actively manages the environmental footprint associated with these services through the sustainability tools made available by each provider.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): Through the AWS Sustainability Console and the Customer Carbon Footprint Tool, we monitor the carbon emissions associated with our use of cloud services, broken down by region, service and account, including Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
AWS reports a global Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.15, with its most efficient data centers reaching a PUE of 1.04. In addition, 100% of the electricity consumed by Amazon was matched with renewable energy sources in 2024 for the second consecutive year.
Its Graviton-based instances consume up to 60% less energy, and customers can reduce their carbon footprint by up to 99% by migrating workloads from on-premises infrastructure to AWS. - Google Cloud: Through the Carbon Footprint Dashboard, we access the percentage of carbon-free energy (CFE%) by region and hour, enabling informed decisions regarding the location of workloads.
Google reduced emissions from its data centers by 12% in 2024 despite a 27% increase in electricity consumption, supported by the addition of 2.5 GW of clean energy.
Google Cloud operates with an average PUE of approximately 1.10, and its data centers use 84% less overhead energy than the industry average. - Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365: Through the Emissions Impact Dashboard for Azure and Microsoft 365, we monitor greenhouse gas emissions associated with our use of cloud services, including avoided emissions resulting from migration from on-premises infrastructure.
Microsoft has contracted more than 34 GW of renewable energy across 24 countries, reduced its Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 29.9% since 2020, and committed to becoming carbon negative by 2030. Its new data centers, built with cross-laminated timber and steel, reduce embodied carbon by up to 65%.
This visibility enables us to assess the environmental impact of our AI operations, identify optimization opportunities and make decisions aligned with our sustainability objectives.
Coca-Cola Andina will continue strengthening its AI governance framework to generate trust and shared value for our investors, employees and communities.
